Absolutely. In fact, I would say a multi-day celebration is the norm for Marrakech destination weddings, not the exception. About 80% of the weddings I work with are three-day affairs, and the ones that try to squeeze everything into a single evening almost always feel rushed. Your guests are flying to Morocco. Give them an experience, not just a dinner. Here is the three-day structure I recommend based on what works best. Day one is the welcome event. My favorite format is sunset drinks on a Medina rooftop. You rent a riad rooftop terrace for the evening, serve mint tea, Moroccan pastries, and light cocktails, and let guests mingle with the Koutoubia Mosque and Atlas Mountains in the background. Cost: 1,500 to 3,000 euros for 60 to 80 guests. This sets the tone beautifully and gives guests who have never been to Morocco their first immersive moment. Day two is the bridge day. Morning is free for guests to explore the souks, visit Jardin Majorelle (12 euros entry), or relax by the hotel pool. I always prepare a list of recommended activities at different price points so guests can self-organize. In the afternoon, a group hammam experience is a wonderful bonding activity, especially for the bridal party. Budget 30 to 60 euros per person at a quality hammam like Heritage Spa or Les Bains de Marrakech. In the evening, the rehearsal dinner at a private riad with traditional Moroccan cuisine. This is where you serve the full Moroccan feast: harira soup, pastilla, lamb tagine, couscous, Moroccan pastries. Cost: 60 to 100 euros per person including venue rental. Day three is the wedding itself. Late afternoon ceremony starting around 5:30 to 6pm, cocktail hour with Gnaoua musicians, seated dinner, and dancing until the early hours. This is your main event and where most of your budget is concentrated. Optional day four is a farewell brunch. Keep it simple. A poolside brunch at the wedding venue or a nearby hotel, 9:30am to noon, with coffee, fresh orange juice, msemen (Moroccan pancakes), eggs, and pastries. Budget 25 to 40 euros per person. Some couples add a group excursion to the Atlas Mountains or the Agafay Desert on day four, which costs 40 to 80 euros per person including transport and lunch at a Berber village. The total additional cost for the multi-day experience beyond the wedding day itself is 5,000 to 15,000 euros, depending on guest count and the level of each event. That sounds like a lot, but consider this: your guests have spent 200 to 500 euros on flights and 300 to 600 euros on accommodation. A three-day celebration makes their investment feel worthwhile and creates memories far beyond the wedding day. One caveat. Not every guest will attend every event, and that is fine. Make days one, two evening, and three mandatory on the schedule, and everything else optional. Giving guests freedom during the day prevents event fatigue, which is a real thing I have seen at over-programmed weddings where guests are exhausted by the time the ceremony starts.
