Marrakech is generally very safe for tourists and wedding guests. Morocco is politically stable, and the government invests heavily in tourism security. The main safety consideration is petty crime — pickpocketing in crowded souks and the Jemaa el-Fna square. Advise guests to use cross-body bags, keep valuables in hotel safes, and be alert in crowded areas. Aggressive souk vendors and unofficial 'guides' can feel overwhelming — a firm 'non merci' is sufficient. Wedding venues and luxury hotels have private security. Tap water is safe in hotels but bottled water (€0.50) is recommended. For medical emergencies, Clinique Internationale and Clinique Al Birr have English-speaking staff. Travel insurance with medical coverage is strongly recommended. Emergency numbers: 19 (police), 15 (ambulance).
