Our Revenue: Referral Fees
When a couple contacts a planner through WPM and goes on to book their wedding, the planner pays us a small, flat referral fee. This is our primary source of revenue. The fee is identical for every planner — whether they are ranked #1 or #12. No planner can buy a higher position.
What We Will Never Do
- Accept payment to improve a planner's or venue's ranking
- Sell couple data to third parties
- Run display advertising
- Create sponsored rankings or featured placements
The Firewall
Our editorial team sets rankings. Our commercial operations handle referral partnerships. These teams operate independently. If a planner who generates significant referral revenue drops in quality, their ranking drops. We have done this before and will do it again. Trust is the only asset we have.
