I am going to be direct. October is the best month for a Marrakech wedding. Full stop. I have been at weddings in every month of the year, and October consistently delivers the perfect combination of warm days (25 to 28 degrees), cool evenings, and golden light that makes every photo look incredible. April and May are close seconds, with the added bonus of orange blossom season filling every garden with the most amazing scent. Spring runs from March through May, and autumn from September through November. These six months are your sweet spot, with temperatures between 22 and 28 degrees. But here is the caveat. Everyone else knows this too. October and April are the two most competitive months for venue bookings. La Mamounia is fully booked for October Saturdays a full 14 months in advance. If you want a peak month, you need to start planning early or accept a Thursday or Friday wedding, which is actually quite common here and can save you 10 to 20% on venue fees. Now, let me be honest about summer. June through August is hot. I mean 38 to 45 degrees hot. I have been at July weddings where the makeup artist had to do touch-ups three times before the ceremony. Outdoor ceremonies before 6pm are genuinely uncomfortable for guests. That said, summer weddings have real advantages. Venue prices drop 20 to 30%. Availability opens up completely. And if you plan around the heat, starting your ceremony at sunset around 7:30pm and keeping everything outdoors in the evening, it can be magical. The warm nights in Marrakech during summer are actually lovely. One couple I worked with did a July wedding at Dar Ahlam. They moved everything to after 7pm, set up cooling stations with iced towels and cold mint tea, and it was one of the most relaxed celebrations I have seen. Winter, December through February, is the overlooked season. Temperatures are mild at 15 to 20 degrees, which is still warmer than most of Europe. The risk is rain, though Marrakech only gets about 25 days of rain per year and most fall in November through January. Hotel prices are at their lowest, flights are cheap, and the city feels less touristy. I always tell couples to check three things when picking their date: weather comfort, venue availability, and flight prices for their guests. Our Date Optimizer tool crunches all three factors together so you can see exactly where the best value windows fall for your specific situation.
