This platform was built on one principle: couples deserve honest, complete information to make the best decisions for their wedding. Every venue, vendor, and planner listing includes real pricing, verified ratings, and clear disclosures. We believe the wedding industry in Marrakech has long suffered from opaque pricing and pay-for-placement reviews. WPM exists to give couples a level playing field — where the best-rated planner is the one who genuinely delivers the best service, not the one who pays the most for visibility.
Rating Methodology
Every listing is rated on four weighted dimensions, each scored on a 1-10 scale:
Overall Quality (40% weight)
Based on our direct experience attending weddings, couple feedback collected post-event, portfolio quality, and consistency of service. A planner who delivers a flawless 200-guest palace wedding scores higher than one with frequent coordination issues, regardless of price point.
Transparency (25% weight)
How clearly the planner or venue communicates pricing and policies before booking. We evaluate: whether full fee breakdowns are provided in writing, contract clarity, refund policies, and whether there are hidden costs (corkage fees, overtime charges, minimum-stay requirements) not disclosed upfront.
Value for Money (20% weight)
Quality relative to cost, compared to alternatives in the same tier. A €3,000 flat-fee planner who delivers exceptional coordination can score higher than a €15,000 planner who offers a similar level of service. We compare within tiers (budget, mid-range, luxury) rather than across them.
Reliability (15% weight)
Consistency of service delivery across multiple weddings, responsiveness to enquiries (we conduct mystery-shopping calls), and whether the planner or venue delivers exactly what was promised in the contract. Late responses, last-minute changes, or discrepancies between what was sold and what was delivered lower this score.
The final Overall Rating is the weighted average of these four scores. Ratings are updated quarterly and after each wedding we attend or receive verified couple feedback on. The update cycle runs in January, April, July, and October.
Price Verification
All prices are verified directly with venues and vendors through a combination of direct enquiry, mystery-shopping calls, and feedback from couples who have recently booked. We display the date of last verification on every listing. Prices are updated quarterly at minimum. If a price changes between verifications, we update as soon as we become aware. Price ranges reflect seasonal variation (high season October-April vs. low season May-September) and package differences. Where venues offer all-inclusive packages, we break down the per-person catering cost separately from the venue hire fee to allow fair comparison.
Conflict of Interest Disclosure
WPM is an independent ranking platform curated by Simone. WPM does not offer wedding planning services and does not compete with the planners it rates. Planners are rated using a consistent methodology regardless of any relationship with the editorial team. No planner pays for placement or can influence their rating. Rankings are determined solely by Overall Quality, Transparency, Value for Money, and Reliability scores. WPM earns revenue through consultation referral fees — when a couple contacts a planner via our platform and proceeds to book, the planner pays a small referral commission. This commercial relationship is disclosed here and does not affect scoring. If a referring planner underperforms, we lower their rating regardless of revenue impact.
AI-Generated Content
Some content on this platform is assisted by AI, including venue comparison summaries, budget simulation calculations, and SEO descriptions. All AI-generated editorial content is reviewed by our team before publication to ensure factual accuracy. Our tools (budget simulator, date optimizer, checklist) use algorithmic calculations based on real pricing data, not AI generation. The AI chatbot clearly identifies itself as AI and recommends consulting with a human planner for critical decisions.
