The 7 acts we list are very different from each other, and a typical starting price is between 150 and 900 euros per performance. Prices vary a lot, because a henna artist, a solo musician, a Gnawa group and a troupe with drums, fire and acrobats are not the same booking. The size of the group, the length of the set and travel outside the city move the price most. A few acts start lower than that and some much higher. Each act's own starting price is on its profile.
A price usually covers one performance of an agreed length by an agreed number of performers. Check how long the set lasts, how many people come, and whether costumes, instruments and amplification are included or must come from your sound company. Fire and acrobatic acts need space and a safe area, so ask what they need from the venue. For henna, ask whether the price is per person or for a set time, and what goes into the paste.
Pick each act for a moment rather than for the whole night: something gentle over dinner, something loud to open the dance floor. Ask for an unedited video of a real performance, not only a promotional clip. Check with your venue before you book anything with fire, drums or amplification, since some venues have rules on noise and flames and a curfew on music. Agree the arrival time and the exact slot in writing, and ask whether the group has another booking that night.
Ask these before you pay a deposit. How long is the performance, and how many performers will come? What do you need from us: space, power, a sound system, somewhere to change? Have you performed at our venue, and does it allow fire or loud drums? What happens if dinner runs late and your slot moves? Do you have another booking the same night? For henna, is the paste natural, and how long before the event should it go on?
