We list 21 wedding photographers in Marrakech, and the middle of the market starts between 1,500 and 1,900 euros per wedding. Time is what moves the price: hours on the day, and how many of your events they cover, since many weddings here run over two to four days. A second shooter, travel outside the city, a printed album or a video all add to it. A few photographers start lower than that and some start much higher. You will find each one's own starting price on their profile, and it is a floor, not the quote for a three-day wedding.
A starting price normally buys one photographer for a set number of hours on the wedding day, plus an edited online gallery. Check how many hours that means, roughly how many edited photos you will get, and how long delivery takes. Common extras are a second shooter, overtime, a printed album, a pre-wedding shoot, and coverage of the welcome drinks or the brunch. Ask whether travel outside the city is included, because two quotes only compare when they cover the same hours and the same events.
Ask for two or three full galleries, each from a single wedding. A highlight reel never shows how they handle a dark dinner or the family group photos. Look for work at a venue like yours, because the light in a riad courtyard has nothing in common with a desert camp after sunset. For a big guest list, or if you each get ready in a different place, I would book a second shooter. Check the language too: your photographer directs your family for the group photos, and local vendors often work in French and Arabic more than English.
Get these answers in writing before you pay a deposit. Who exactly will photograph our wedding, the person whose work we saw or someone from their team? How many hours and which events does the price cover, and what does an extra hour cost? How many edited photos should we expect, and when will they arrive? Is travel outside the city included, or billed separately? Can we see a full gallery from our venue or one like it? Who replaces you if you are ill on the day?
