Among the 19 sound and lighting companies we list, a typical starting price is between 1,100 and 1,800 euros per event. The size of the space and of the guest list sets the system, and lighting a whole garden costs far more than lighting a dance floor. A stage, screens, extra events and a technician on site all night add to it. Some desert venues in the Agafay, La Pause for one, have no mains electricity, so a generator goes on the bill too. A few companies start lower than that and some start much higher, and each company's own starting price is on its profile.
Check what the quote actually lists: speakers sized for your guest count, microphones, lighting, delivery, setup and collection. Ask whether a technician stays for the whole event or leaves once everything is running. If your DJ brings equipment, compare the two lists so you do not pay twice for the same speakers. Generators, long cable runs, a microphone for the ceremony and lighting for paths or trees are common extras.
Choose a company that has worked at your venue or one like it, because a riad courtyard, a palace garden and a desert camp raise very different problems. Ask for a site visit, or at least a written plan showing where the speakers, lights and cables go. I would ask what spare equipment they bring, from a second microphone to a backup generator if you need power. Make sure they talk to your DJ or band before the day, so the equipment matches what the musicians need.
Have you worked at our venue, and do you know its rules on noise and its curfew? If your venue is a medina riad or sits in a residential area, expect a music curfew and plan the party around it. Who provides the power, and will we need a generator? Will a technician stay until the last song? What spare equipment comes with you? How long do you need to set up, and when will you take everything down?
