Pools big enough to swim in rather than just photograph. Daytime parties, sunset drinks, receptions that run late.
The daytime pool party has quietly become the Marrakech format, particularly for the day after the wedding itself. What separates a good one from a nice photograph is whether the pool is actually swimmable, whether there is shade for guests who cannot sit in 38 degrees, and whether the venue permits catering and amplified music at the poolside at all. Some do not, and I flag those. These work better for summer dates and multi-day celebrations than for a single formal evening.
