In-house only. Amanjena requires you to use their internal catering team. This simplifies logistics but limits menu flexibility.

our editorial review
I love this place because it feels like staying at a wealthy Moroccan family's country estate. Amanjena sits in the Palmeraie, surrounded by palm trees, about 15 minutes from Jemaa el-Fnaa. The resort was built around ancient olive trees, and craftsmen from Fez created every mosaic tile by hand. I first visited on a quiet February afternoon and the silence hit me before the view did. The pink walls, traditional courtyards, and the way light moves across the water at sunset make it one of those places you do not forget. Your guests can explore the medina by day and come back to total calm by evening.
The pool area is the most popular choice, with guests seated on cushions around the basin and the Atlas Mountains behind them. I always tell couples to book the ceremony for 5pm. That is when you get the golden light as the sun drops, and your photographer will thank you. The gardens work well for smaller groups, 20 to 40 guests among olive trees and jasmine. Spring is best there because the orange trees are in bloom. For something very private, a pavilion courtyard can host 15 to 25 guests. It feels like your own palace for the night. The venue fits up to 80 guests for a seated dinner and 120 for cocktail style.
Amanjena is not cheap. I want to be clear about that. A small wedding of 20 to 40 guests typically runs 40,000 to 60,000 euros. A medium wedding of 40 to 80 guests costs 60,000 to 100,000 euros. Larger celebrations of 80 or more guests start at 100,000 euros and climb from there. The rental fee covers venue space, basic tables and chairs, and staff coordination. Flowers, music, photographer, special lighting, and decorations are all extra. Catering is handled exclusively by the in-house kitchen, with menus at approximately 150 to 200 euros per person. A deposit of 30 to 50 percent secures the date. It becomes non-refundable six months before the wedding, and full payment is due 30 days prior.
Amanjena has 32 pavilions on site, so guests stay right where the celebration happens. No taxis, no transfers, no logistics headaches the morning after. Rooms fill up fast. I tell every couple to book guest accommodations at the same time as the wedding. The venue has partnerships with nearby hotels for overflow, but honestly, you want your group on site if you can manage it. The spa does traditional hammam treatments, which I have seen turn a nervous bride into a calm one more than once. The kitchen team will prepare a family recipe on request, which is a nice touch for multicultural weddings. The florist knows both European and Moroccan styles well.
Events run for about 8 hours, and music stops at 11pm sharp. The venue is in a residential area and they do not budge on this. Catering is in-house only, but outside wedding planners, photographers, and decorators are welcome. For entertainment, Amanjena prefers vendors from their approved list for noise control and equipment compatibility. October to April is peak season and should be booked 18 months ahead. May and September offer great weather with less demand and better pricing. I strongly recommend wedding insurance given the non-refundable deposit terms. I have seen couples lose deposits over travel disruptions they did not anticipate.
The service at Amanjena is very good and the food is consistently excellent. Every photo comes out looking like it belongs in a design magazine, and that is not an exaggeration. The venue is strict about its rules, but they tell you everything upfront. I respect that. It is not the place for a wild party. If you want music past midnight and dancing until 3am, look elsewhere. Some international traditions may need explanation to staff, and everything must be planned well in advance. But if you want an elegant, controlled celebration where every detail is handled properly, Amanjena delivers.
